Writing for social media

We’ve talked in class about fitting in on social media by speaking the right “language” but being careful about going too far. (See Brands Saying Bae, for instance.) That means it’s important to keep abreast of trends in social media writing and know what they communicate about you. Here is an interesting article about one way in which social media and the internet is changing the way we speak and write, for a little bit of guidance.

  1. This article actually helped me stomach some of the verbiage that has become common place. I really have no tolerance left for “that moment when” statements. But I get it. It allows our minds to fill in the rest, which they are doing anyway.
